Meet erica

I’ve been an herbalist since 2012; my journey began from a deeply personal place—struggling with depression that had haunted me for most of my life. Living in the mountains of Western North Carolina, in an area known for its rich rainforest ecosystem, I realized that the solution to my struggles might lie in the very plants surrounding me. Armed with Peterson’s Field Guide to Medicinal Plants and Herbs of Eastern and Central North America, I began my exploration of the natural world—and that’s when everything changed.

I’m a formally trained artist and scientist, with a deep commitment to evidence-based research and the integration of multiple disciplines. This combination of science and imagination has been the foundation of my work, allowing me to create medicines that not only support my own healing but also the well-being of my community, which remains one of my life’s greatest joys.

Today, I’m proud to be doing the work I’m most passionate about—helping to improve the world we all share. About half of my apothecary is wildcrafted directly from the land, and the other half is sourced responsibly through organic and sustainable practices.

I approach my craft with a spirit of passion, dedication, and humility. I believe in resilience and progress, blending my scientific background with a deep love for nature to offer remedies that are both effective and holistic.
